Hi There!

My name is Lola!

I’ve been baking since I was 10 years old. It started off with soccer party cupcakes and slowly turned into a website and specialty orders. I’ve competed in cake competitions and won, and over the years I have rebranded multiple times. I started off as Piece of Cake Bakeshop, and now, as you can see, I’m known as Blackbird Bakeshoppe. Take a look around! Nice to meet you <3

Where Blackbird Started

How the Beatles inspired my bakery name

I’ve always been a fan of The Beatles, ever since my music teacher and parents introduced me to them in 2nd grade. My grandma would always play “Blackbird” on the guitar to my mom when she was younger, and my mom would sing it all the time. It has a very special place in my heart.
